The main church was rebuilt to accommodate the growing parish population. Upon its completion, the church was dedicated, as this plaque in the foyer reads: "St. Patrick's Church. Rebuilt 1951-1953. Rededicated June 14, 1953 by Most Rev. Edw. F. Hoban, D.D. Rev. Wm. P. Thorpe, Pastor"
