Who can join
All are welcome: children and adults, vocalists and instrumentalists.
There are no auditions. Many people are involved in more than one of our
choirs. Families of choir members, including children, are encouraged
to join them in the choir loft during masses and rehearsals. If you're
not comfortable with your voice, you can participate in our organizational
committees.
When and where we meet
- Traditional choir meets throughout the
school year to rehearse on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. in the church.
We sing a blend of traditional West European and spirited American music
Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. mass.
- Contemporary choir meets throughout the year, practicing
Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m., and ministering generally
the fourth Sunday of the month at 12:00 noon mass. We include as
many instrumentalists as vocalists, and play more 20th-century music
found in our missal.
- Cantors each sing at one mass every weekend throughout the
calendar year.
How we minister
We lead the congregation in mass hymns and other parts of the mass in
which we are all called to raise our voices in music to God.
How to get involved
Contact the music ministry director,
or visit her up in the choir loft after mass by taking the stairs near
the church's main entrance.
