Posters will be used to recruit new members to join the Holy Name Society. Posters will also be on display during MayFest Weekend, May 20-22, 2005.

Who can join
Adults at least 21 years of age.

When and where we meet
Usually the first Monday of each month at 8:00 p.m. in Thorpe Hall, September through June. We also sponsor annual events and assist in the Annual Parish Picnic and Raffle held in July.

We host special monthly programs to foster the Spiritual and Community growth of the men of the Parish. We also honor the men of the parish who have died within the last 12 months at a Special Holy Name Mass in November. Annual events include:

Kielbasa and kraut night in October in conjunction with our Veteran Service Award and Old Timer's Night
Annual Clam Bake
Christmas party in December
Pancake breakfasts for the Parish in January and May
Corned Beef and Cabbage night in March
Man of the Year Award in April
Cookout in June

We also sponsor a Wednesday afternoon golf league. The Society awards two grants to boys graduating from the eighth grade and attending a Catholic high School. We work closely with the Athletic Association, Parish Council, Altar and Rosary Society, School Administration and Parish Staff for the good of the parish.

How we minister
We fulfill the spiritual, social, service and athletic needs of the men in the parish. We promote love, honor and respect for the most Holy Name of Jesus Christ by reciting the Holy Name Pledge, by special prayers for members and families and by participating in wake services for deceased members.

The Society is in communication with the Southwest Deanery Holy Name Society, the Diocesan Holy Name Society, and the National Holy Name Society and participate in their programs.
