"I would also like to underscore the importance of parish councils, where pastoral problems are studied and resolved 'by general discussion.' Dare to dialogue in your committees!"
-- Pope John Paul II in Salzburg, 6/19/1998

Who can join
Nominated parishioners

When and where we meet
The third Wednesday of 10 months throughout the calendar year. All parishioners are welcome to attend to present issues for the Council to consider.

How we minister
We are an advisory board to the Pastor. We discuss a variety of issues affecting the parish, and offer ideas and recommendations to the Pastor. We also initiate programs as needed to meet specific parish needs. Council members' terms are generally limited to three years, so as to keep perspectives fresh and to share leadership responsibilities with others in the parish.

How to get involved
Nominations are held in the Spring of each year, and discernment sessions are held throughout the Summer to determine if nominees wish to accept a position on the Council. Prospective Council members can nominate themselves or be nominated by any member of the parish. To learn more about the council, attend a meeting.
